Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually attended the programme organised on the occasion of Dr Khubchand Baghel&#;s birth anniversary on Monday, from his official residence. Dr Khubchand Baghel was a freedom fighter and the first person to envision the formation of Chhattisgarh state. The programme was organised by the Department of Archeology and Culture in the auditorium of Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum. The Chief Minister paid homage to the portrait of Dr Khubchand Baghel and felicitated his family members, the successors of the freedom fighters with shawls, shriphal and memento. Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat attended the programme virtually and Chairman of Chhattisgarh Text Book Corporation Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, ACS (Home) Subrat Sahoo, Secretary of Culture Department Anbalgan P, Secretary to Chief Minister Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi and Dr Khubchand Baghel&#;s family members and successors of freedom fighters were present at Chief Minister&#;s residence. Raipur, July 19 The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that Dr. Khoobchand Baghel was a leading minister who had awakened the Chhattisgarhi self-respect and helped in promoting Chhattisgarhi culture. Dr. Khoobchand Baghel was the foremost among all the leaders who helped in promoting the food habits, lifestyle, language, and dialect of Chhattisgarh. He struggled all his life for the rights and development of the farmers and tribal people.
The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the celebration event for Dr. Khoobchand Baghel&#;s anniversary in Raipur. The anniversary event was held in the Commercial premises situated in Phool Chowk. He paid his tribute by adorning the idol of Dr. Khoobchand Baghel. Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Mayor of Raipur Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, Central President of the Chhattisgarh Manwa Kurmi Regional Society Mr. Chovaram Verma, Ex Rajyasabha Member Mrs. Chhaya Verma and many other officers were present on this occasion.

मुख्यमंत्री साय ने डॉ. खूबचंद बघेल का पुण्य स्मरण करते हुए कहा कि वे छत्तीसगढ़ के स्वप्नदृष्टा थे। एक अच्छे डॉक्टर और साहित्यकार के रूप में उनकी अलग पहचान थी। मुख्यमंत्री ने देश के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री भारत रत्न स्वर्गीय अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी को याद करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य का निर्माण कर हमारे पुरखों का सपना पूरा किया। हम सभी अटल जी के आभारी हैं। अब इस राज्य को संवारने की जिम्मेदारी हम सभी की है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने आगे कहा कि आप सभी के आशीर्वाद से सरकार के मुखिया का दायित्व मुझे मिला है। हमारी सरकार ने प्रदेश में 7 माह पूरे किए हैं और सरकार बनने के दूसरे ही दिन हमने 18 लाख गरीब परिवारों को आवास देने का काम किया। किसानों से रुपए प्रति क्विंटल के भाव से और 21 क्विंटल प्रति एकड़ के मान से धान की खरीदी की। 13 लाख किसानों को दो साल के बकाया धान बोनस का अंतरण, महतारी वंदन योजना के अंतर्गत 70 लाख से अधिक माताओं-बहनों को हर महीने एक-एक हजार रुपए सालाना 12 हजार रूपए की सहायता

Dr Khubchand Baghel contributed a lot in the development of Chhattisgarh and played a vital role in making of Chhattisgarh as an independent State said Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. Baghel was speaking as the Chief guest at the birth anniversary celebration of Dr Khubchand Baghel held at Kala Mandir, Bhilai recently. The programme was conducted by Manwa Kurmi Kshetriya Samaj. Later, Chief Minister felicitated renowned filmmaker Manu Nayak for his efforts in making Chhattisgarh Film Industry into successful regional film industry.
During the felicitation programme, he informed that Manu Nayak&#;s film &#;Kahi Debe Sandesh&#; was appreciated by all of people including erstwhile Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi. She liked the movie and congratulated Nayak for showing culture as well as values of Chhattisgarh into movie. Because of it, erstwhile chief minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh, DP Mishra, made the movie in entire state &#;tax free&#;.
