During his year tenure at Gilead, Norbert presided over the development and approval of more than 25 medicines for a range of serious conditions which led the transformation of the treatment of diseases such as HIV, HCV and lymphoma. He was a key member of the management team that expanded Gilead from a small company with fewer than 50 employees and no revenue to a major corporation with 10, employees and $25 billion in revenue.
Norbert received a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Zurich’s Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule and performed postdoctoral research in steroid chemistry at Syntex. Ich bin in St. Gallen geboren und habe das Gymnasium in Sarnen besucht. Nach dem Studium der katholischen Theologie in Luzern, Zürich, Paris und Bern habe ich den 9. Grundkurs am Medienausbildungszentrum MAZ in Kastanienbaum (Luzern) absolviert. In meiner Doktorarbeit beschäftigte ich mich in München mit der Frage der Reinkarnation («Werden wir wiederkommen? Norbert Bischofberger ist fraglos einer der erfolgreichsten Forscher aus Österreich.
